Abstract
The kernel value system of socialism is the root of building the harmonious culture,the spiritual drive of and ideological and moral base of constructing a harmonious society.The interior demand of its construction involves a new research project and task for the work of ideological and political education.The functions of ideological and political education refer to mobilization,illumination,steering and stimulation,which occupy the irreplaceable position in constructing a kernel value system of socialism.
