Abstract

Objective The purpose of this study was to evaluate the dentin bond strength of four adhesives (OptiBond Solo,Single Bond,One-Step,PrimeBond NT) under different dentin surface moisture. Methods Superficial occlusal dentin of 36 molars extracted freshly was finished with 600-grit SiC paper under running water. Four total-etching adhesives were applied to dentin surfaces according to the manufacturers' instructions under different dentin surface moisture. The bonded teeth were sectioned occluso-gingivally into 1.0mm×1.0mm×4.0mmserial slabs which were were prepared for μTBS. Rusults Under wet dentin surface for 4 adhesives, highest?TBS (OB (25.24±2.07)MPa,SB(24.28±4.73)MPa,OS (28.29±4.35)MPa,PB (26.87±4.39)MPa were all achieved (P0.01). Conclusion The different dentin surface moisture could give influence diversely on the dentin bond strength of four total-etching adhesives because of their solvent composition.
