Analysis and Porting of Embedded Bootloader Based on ARM

Abstract

Bootloader is used to initialize hardware,boot and load OS kernel.U-Boot is a powerful and open bootloader,which is widelyfound in embedded system.This author has succeeded in porting U-Boot to S3C2440-based target board,according to smdk2410-related code included in the U-Boot tarball,and given the way of U-Boot's identifying boot ROM automatically and the basic idea ofwriting related code.The test result suggests this method is feasible and can serve as reference.
