Abstract
Based on the data of the energy consumption(EC) and GDP of Shandong Province from 1980 to 2009,a modle of the relationship between Shandong's energy consumption and conomic growth is built by the way of co-integration theory and error correction model and Granger causality analysis. The conclusion is that there exists a co-integration relationship between shandong's energy consumption and economic growth, and this relationship is a one way relationship from shandongs energy consumption to its economic growth.
