Abstract
Mr.Feng Youlan advanced the idea of four kinds of realms of life in his book named Xin Yuan Ren: nature,utility,moral and universe realms.Among the four realms,the universe realm is the highest one.It is the unity of cognition,practice and aesthetics.There are lots of same ideas between this idea and modern ecological ethical one.From the view of cognition,the realm embodies the different system thinking of the western rationalists initiated dual opposition.From the view of practice,it initiates to restrict the desire of human's substance and to promote the spirit of personality.From the view of aesthetic,the human appreciates the natural beauty and takes the nature into the field of moral,which makes the harmony between the human and the nature.
