Study on the Structural Change of Energy Consumption Sectors in China

Based on the perspective of industrial relevance theory,traditional industrial relevance theory is used in the analysis of energy consumption,an input-output model is constructed,industrial relevance index of energy consumption is calculated,and the methods on how to classify the structure of energy consumption sectors are provided.Besides,the authors compare the structure of Chinese energy consumption sectors by using Chinese input-output table from 2002 to 2007 and the energy consumption data of different Chinese sectors,discovering the structural change tendency of Chinese energy consumption sectors.The results show that with the change of industrial structures,metallurgy industry,chemical industry,and mechanical equipment manufacturing industry are still the key energy consumption sectors in China.However,some industrial sectors of China's tertiary industry have becoming the main force of China's energy consumption.
