Abstract

A 3D parametric model of a two-stage gear reducer is established based on CATIA.The data interface module MSC.SimDesigner is used to convert the CATIA model data to MSC.ADAMS,and then the virtual prototype is built in MSC.ADAMS.Rotational speeds, meshing forces, and meshing frequencies of the gears are obtained by dynamic simulation of the virtual prototype.Good coincidence between simulation results and theoretic calculated values proves that the virtual prototype is reliable and the simulation results are credible.
