A Rhetoric Analysis of Obama’s Political Speeches

Abstract
Obama has successfully won the presidential election and has already been inaugurated as President,yet his campaign speeches and victory speech still attract people’s attention.This paper attempts to analyze the rhetorical devices employed in Obama’s three famous speeches from the perspectives of vocabulary usage,grammatical structure and rhythmic features with the purpose of exploring the rhetorical styles in his political speeches.
