Comparison Study on the Quality and Yield of Several Introduced Sugarcane Varieties

The control variety(ROC22) and nine introduced sugarcane varieties were planted in Beihai of Guangxi for studying the difference in the quality characters and yield between introduced sugarcane varieties and the control variety(CK).The results were as follows: ①the purity,brix and sucrose content of GT02-901,Liucheng03-182,Funong15 and Funong28 and the fiber content of Liucheng03-182,Yunzhe03-422 and YT55 were higher than that of the CK;②the cane yields of introduced sugarcane varieties were lower than that of the CK except YT55,YT00-236 and GT97-69;③only the sucrose yield of Liucheng03-182 was higher than that of the CK,the sucrose yield of YT55,Funong15 and YT00-236 was close to the CK.YT55 was a good variety in terms of the cane yield and sucrose yield.But on the whole,the purity,brix,sucrose content,fiber content and the sucrose yield of Liucheng03-182 were superior to the CK except that its cane yield was slightly lower.
