DETECTION AND SIGNIFICANCE OF INTERLEUKIN-6、INTERLEUKIN-8、TUMOR NECROSIS FACTOR-α IN PATIENTS WITH LEGIONNAIRES DISEASE

[Objective]To investigate the changes and significance of serum interleukin-6(IL-6)、interleukin-8(IL-8)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)in patients with legionnaires disease(LD).[Methods]The levels of IL-6、IL-8 and TNF-α in sera of 30 patients with legionnaires disease and 40 controls were detected with ELISA.[Results]The levels of serum IL-6、IL-8 and TNF-α of LD patients in acute stage were all higher than those in convalescent period.And the levels of serum IL-8、TNF-α of acute patients were significantly higher than those of the controls.The level of IL-6 had obvious positive correlation with the levels of serum IL-8 and TNF-α of LD patients.[Conclusions]The expressions of IL-6、IL-8 and TNF-α in serum of LD patients is abnormal and their serum levels changes along with the degree of pathogenetic condition.It is of important significance in understanding the course of LP infection invasion,the immunologic function of patients,the degree of pathological changes and injuries,as well as the prognosis.
