Abstract
As the maximum height of side slope at the intake of the underground powerhouse of Longtan hydropower station is as much as 420 m,a long term of design studies are made in order to solve the problem of slope stability.Based on the large amount of study results and design experiences,a rational excavation form and reinforcing measures are defined, and a three dimensional drainage network, which is composed of ground drainage system and underground drainage system,is set up.Ground drainage system is made up of crisscross catchwater and the underground system is made up of 8 layers of clued leading drainage tunnels together with embranchment,as well as drainage holes inside the tunnels.
