Abstract
Objective To evaluate the value of fluid attenuated inversion recovery (FLAIR) in diagnosis of cerebral infarction. Methods 50 patients with cerebral infarction were examined with both FLAIR and FSE sequences on 0.35T MR system. Results In FSE (T2WI),247 foci of cerebral infarction were found, whereas in FLAIR 314 foci. Conclusion FLAIR sequence can reduce the signals of the cerebrospine fluid and demonstrate some lesions of the brain which appear normal or suspicious according to routine SE sequence, especially the lesion around the brain surface or ventricle.FLAIR sequence is an important complementary technique for routine SE sequence.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
