Abstract

Urban fringe is a special area which greatly affected by various elements in the urban ex- pansion and urbanization. In the course of urban expansion, the development of urban fringe is an im- portant step. This paper, by discussing the range of urban fringe based on China’s current situations, ana- lyzes the urban fringe development of Tianjin which focuses on the planning, design, control and guidance of different groups in the central city and urban fringe.
