From Longing for the Homeland to Reflecting on the Homeland——the Variances of Looking Back to the Homeland in the Chinese Language Literature in the United States of 20th Century

Looking back to the homeland is a familiar subject in overseas Chinese literature.We cannot take it simply as nostalgia but a kind of unique immigrant complex.This essay discusses three different immigrant emotions,which includes students abroad longing for homeland,exiles being aloof to homeland,and Diasporas reflecting on the homeland.From this study,we can see different cultural choices of individual writers under different political and cultural influences.
