Study on YANG Yu-huan's Image Changes-Case Study of Song of Everlasting Sorrow,Rain on the Plane Tree and Palace of Eternal Life

YANG Yu-huan has appeared in literature for a long time,and the love story between YANG Yu-huan and Emperor Xuanzong has become the subject of numerous literary works. Starting from the prosperous Tang Dynasty,men of letters have constantly enriched and developed Yang's character in poems,prose,historic records,novels and dramas. Authors try to explain Yang from different perspectives due to the variation of literary types,the different writing attitude of authors and influence from the changing society and cultural thoughts. Studying all the literary works about Beauty Yang,it is found that her image has an obvious changing process. As a political image,she changes from passive sacrifice to having only herself to blame to dedication; as a love image,from being indulged in enjoyment to uncleanness to pure loyalty and willing to dedication,YANG Yu-huan ultimately becomes an independent typical figure in Chinese literature.
