Abstract
According to the problems that surface gathering pipeline in the oil-field always decays and needs a great deal of funds to maintain or replace it,and great quantities of scrapped pipeline are idle,the mechanical property of the scrapped pipeline,the repair craft and the conjunction way of the pipeline and the critical wall thickness were introduced. Through indoor test and theoretical calculation,it was feasible to use the repaired pipeline as the surface gathering pipeline. The application of the repaired pipeline on the surface gathering pipeline made the discarding pipeline be reused and spared the expenses that the pipeline replaced.
