Abstract
Objective To observe the effects of a novel camptothecin(CPT) analogue, iso-camptothecin (iso-CPT) on proliferation and cell cycle of squamous carcinoma cell. Methods Inhibition on cells proliferation and valid concentration of iso-CPT were measured by MTT assay. The influence on cell cycle and induction of cell apoptosis of iso-CPT were evaluated by flow cytometry. Results Iso-CPT inhibited the proliferation of Tca8113 cell and arrested the cells in S phase. These effects showed time and dose dependence. Conclusion The results indicate that iso-CPT may has the antitumor effect, and its mechanism may be relevant to its effects on cell proliferation and cell cycle.
