Abstract
ZnO nanorods were synthesized by a low temperature solution method using Zn(Ac)2·2H2O and Zn(NO3)2·6H2O as zinc sources, respectively. The products were characterized by X-ray diffractometer(XRD)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The XRD pattern shows that ZnO nanorods synthesized using either Zn(Ac)2·2H2O or Zn(NO3)2·6H2O as zinc source have hexagonal wurtzite structure. The SEM images illustrate that ZnO nanorods synthesized using Zn(AC)2·2H2O have 1~5 μm lengths and 50~100 nm diameters;ZnO nanorods synthesized using Zn(NO3)2·6H2O have 0.5~1 μm lengths and 40~60 nm diameters.
