Abstract

One way of optimizing design on the arrangement of heat exchange tubes inside flooded evaporator was presented based on the conventional scheme of the tube shell exchanger.Assuming a specified structural form of a flooded evaporator,the arrangement of heat exchange tubes was more reasonable and compact by adopting the proposed optimizing design,and the moderate arranged height of heat exchange tubes was assured easily.The proposed optimizing method can improve the heat exchange capacity and also reduce the dimensions of flooded evaporator.
