Abstract
The paper illustrates the definition of the concept design,points out that when undertaking the seismic design for engineering structures,the structural engineer should involve himself in the structural scheme design,the structural component layout,the calculating the diagram and abstract and the analysis treatment of calculating results,and embodies the importance of the concept design for seismic design.
