Abstract

The article makes a brief analysis of main features of urbanpopulation change and development based on the main data of 31 provinces of the 5th population census. Its focus is the marked regional differences of urbanization level. The article is noticed that features of change in urban population have a close relationship with productive forces, especially GDP per capita and investment. Moreover, the change of statistics standard is also an important factor.
