Abstract

The present paper deals with 16 new species of Coreidae collected from various parts of China. Four species belong to the subfamily Mictinae, three to Coreinae, two to Pseudophloeinae, four to Rhopalinae and three to Alydinae. Two new genera are described each containing a new species.Mygdonia spmifera, sp. nov. (Fig. 1)Reddish brown, clothed with pale short appressed pubescence and brownish long erect hairs. Very similar to Mygdonia amplicollis Stal in body form and structure, but smaller, 4th antennal segment and tarsi concolorous, expanded portion of posterior femora beneath in male not serrated (Fig. la) and abdomen beneath with a conspicuous spine on each side in addition to the median tuberculous elevation. In female posterior tibiae costructed as in Fig. 1b and abdomen beneath without spines and tubercle.Length 30-33 mm. Holotype and allotype , Kwangsi. Mictiopsis, gen. nov.Head of mictis-type, antennae longer than half of body length, 3rd abdominal sternite in with a prominent spine on each side. Allied to Pseudomictis Hsiao but posterior femora in strongly spinose beneath near middle and abdominal sternites not longly backwardly produced.Type species: Mictiopsis curvipes, sp. nov. Mictiopsis curvipes, sp. nov. (Fig. 2)Dark brown dorsally and reddish brown ventrally, pubescence yellowish, 4th anten-nal segment and tarsi ochraceous. Length of antennal segments 4.8:3.8:3.1:5.0 mm. Length of rostral segments 1.8:1.5:0.9:1.5 mm. Pronotum with anterior angles prominent, lateral angles rounded, posterior margin straight. Scutellum transversely rugulose, laterally carinate. Hemelytra reaching apex of abdomen, costal margin straight, posterior legs ( ) constructed as in Figure 2.Length 24mm. Holotype , Yunnan.Mictis angusta, sp. nov. (Fig. 3) , Reddish brown, clothed with sparse short yellowish pubescence. Allied to M. tenebrosa Fabr. but body narrower, metapleura without velvet white spot, apical margin of the tubercular elevation to the junction of 3rd and 4th sternites entire (Fig. 3b) and triangular dilation to posterior tibiae placed behind the middle (Fig. 3a).Length 20 mm. Holotype , Kiangsi.Mictis tuberosa, sp. nov. (Fig. 4) . Reddish brown, yellowish pubescent. Thoracic pleura densely clothed with long white tomentose hairs. Metapleura with a white velvet spot near acetabulum. Posterior legs constructed as in Fig. 4a. Third abdominal sternite with a long spine on each side, the junction of 3rd and 4th abdominal sternites very strongly and tuberculously elevated.Allied to M. gallina Dall., but body narrower, thoracic pleura with long white hairs and abdomen beneath very strongly elevated.Length 22.5 mm. Holotype , Kwangsi.Sinodasynus spiraculus, sp. nov. (Fig. 5)Very similar to S. stigmatus Hsiao in form and coloration, but smaller, abdominal spiracles very large and elliptical, venter centrally longitudinally depressed, plica on 7th abdominal sternite less angulate (Fig. 5), and posterior margin of pronotum less arched.Length 15.7mm. Holotype 9, Yunnan.Paradasynus longirostris, sp. nov. (Fig. 6)Light brown, very finely pubescent, antennae and legs reddish. Lateral margins of pronotum, membrane, apex of rostrum and eight spots on each side of body beneath black.Allied to P. spinosus Hsiao, but lateral angles of pronotum acutely produced, not spinose; rostrum longer, 4th segment more than twice as long as 3rd; genital segment medianly broadly produced, parameres long and narrow (Fig. 6) and black spots on venter larger.Length 17.8mm. Holotype , Hainan Is.Paradasynus tibialis, sp. nov. (Fig. 7)Yellowish green, above greyish yellow, brownishly punctate and very shortly pubescent, beneath concolorously punctate. Basal 3 segments of antennae, tibiae, tarsi and apex of corium all red; 4th antennal segment and femora sordid yellow; apex of rostrum and inner angle of membrane black. 2nd to 7th sternites each with a black spot on each side. Posterior margin of genital segment forming tkee small tubercles, parameres broad at base and spinose at apex (Fig. 7). Allied to P. spinosus Hsiao and P. longirostris, sp. nov., but l
