Abstract
Bulk amorphous alloy of Zr-Cu-Al-Y alloy with maximum diameter of 6 mm was fabricated by copper mold casting method.The effects of Y content on the forming and the properties of amorphous alloy were studied.The results show that the compressive deformation presents elastic deformation.The hardness of amorphous alloy increases with the increase of Y content.Tests of mechanical properties of the bulk amorphous alloy show that the alloy has high compressive fracture strength,high Vickers-hardness and good elasticity.
