Abstract
The stratimagic waveform classification method has been used to study the transverse changes of seismic information. The forms of seismic trace can be correlatived and classified by the neural network algorithm, and the horizontal changes of seismic signals may be described, and then the map of the seismic facies matching to geological facies can be obtained. This method can be used to predict the distribution of reservoir sand body and lithologic oil reservoir. The application of this method in Dawangzhuang area of Jizhong depression shows a good result. The locations of three wells has been provided by using the predicted results of this method. The wells has produced oil successfully.A lithologic oil reservoir with a reserve of ten thousand tons has been found in this area.
