Abstract
The consciousness of tragedy originates in human being' knowledge of its limitations. The deficiently of internality, unit be considered as one feature of Greek culture, made the motion force of Greek tragedy extrinsic. It is Christianity changed the extrinsic belief internality. Loftiness and symbolization are two important features of West modern times tragedies. In pale with disappearance of Loftiness and symbolism, the west tragedy faded away.
