Abstract
In order to improve the performance of modified asphalt stress absorbing layer,based on the characteristics of different gradations,the optimum gradation of new rubber asphalt stress absorbing layer was determined; technical indices of mixture of rubber asphalt stress absorbing layer were proposed;comparisons of high-temperature performance as well as fatigue performance were conducted.The results indicate that the newly developed rubber asphalt stress absorbing layer is of good pavement performance when the asphalt accounts for 9 percent of the mixture.
