Abstract

Objective to provide anatomical data for clinic application. Methods the axillary artery and its braches were observed on 30 adults cadaver specimens(men:24, women:6) which have been fixed in formaldebyde. Result the supreme thoracic artery(ST)arises from the first part of axillary artery(85%); the thoracoacrominal artery(TA)from the first and the second parts, 5%and 95%, respectively; lateral thoracic artery(LT)from the second parts mostly (68.33%); the subscapular artery(S)from the second and the third parts mostly,23.33% and 65%,respectively, the anterior humeral circumflex artery(AH) from directly the third part (83.33%) mostly; the posterior humeral circumflex artery (PH)from directly the third part (38.33%), often arising from subscapular artery (41.67%); the right radial artery (RR)arises from the first part(1.67%) and the deep brachial artery (DB) from the third part(3.33%). Conclusion: In this paper, six branches rises directly from the axillary artery mostly, the nine branches also. the thoracoacrominal artery is not vary in original point and appear the rate most; the lateral thoracic artery is vary in its original point mostly, and it may arises from the thoracoacrominal artery, the subscapular artery or the thoracodorsal artery. The posterior humeral circumflex artery common arises from the subscapular artery mostly.
