Abstract

This paper introduces the concept connotation of urban forest and points out the some characteristics concerning rich forest resources, diverse plant species and forest types, unique urban forest landscape, integration of Dali city and forest. Ideas and measures for building urban forest, conserving available forest resources, protecting biodiversity, scientifically programming are proposed.
