Abstract
Progress on catalytic partial oxidation of methane to syngas was reviewed.Two main mechanisms of oxidation were recommended,i.e.direct oxidation and indirect oxidation.Attention was given to Nisupported catalysts.The characteristics of fixed bed reactor,fluidized bed reactor,membrane reactor and other reactors which were developed recently were summarized.
