Abstract
Objective To analyze the complications of vitrectomy in treatment of proliferative diabetic retinopathy(PDR).Methods 62 eyes of 54 cases with PDR treated with vitrectomy were followed up 2~12 months,and the postoperative complications of vitrectomy were observed.Results Among the complications of these cases,retinal dethchment in 8 eyes(12.9%),postoperative vitreous hemomhage in 24 eyes(38.7%),complicated cataract in 46 eyes(74.2%),neovascular glaucoma in 7 eyes(11.3%),retinal vessel atresia in 21 eyes(33.9%),optic nerve atrophy in 9 eyes(14.5%).Conclusion The main influential factor are related with the severity of PDR,surgical skills and methods for dealing with every pathological area correctly and thoroughly.Systemic status is also important factor to reduce the complications.
