Clinical Observation of Patients with Severe Hepatitis Treated by Artificial Livers Support System

【Objective】To investigate the curative effect and safety of artificial livers support system(ALSS)in patients with severe hepatitis.【Methods】Fifty patients with severe hepatitis were treated by way of artificial livers support system.The clinical symptoms,liver function,electrolytes,prothrombin activity.cholinesterase,survival rate and the side effects were observed.The control group consists of 40 similar patients treated by the conventional therapy.【Results】In 50 patients with severe hepatitis,after the treatment by artificial livers support system,the clinical symptoms were improved.Survival rate in the treatment group was 50%,30.0% in the control group.The side effects in the treatment group was 10%.There were obvious decreases in serum ALT,TBIL,TBA and clearly increases in serum CHE,CHOL,PTA after treatment compared with that before treatment(P0.01).but there was no obvious change in electrolytes and blood cell after treatment.【Conclusion】Artificial livers support system can obviously improve the clinical symptoms and the biochemical parameters,increase the survival rate.It is effective and safe in severe hepatitis.
