Abstract
Based on principal component analysis and cluster analysis techniques,this paper processes 11 index of economic development in 21 areas of Sichuan province.By quantitative assessment of regional economic development through principal component analysis,this paper finds the key impact indicators on economic development.Cluster analysis of the 21 districts is divided into five categories according to the level of economic development.It points out similar endowments and comparative advantages of the region.The results show that degree of regional economic development,industrial structure and development model are very different in regional economic development.
