Abstract
Objective:To establish a fluorescent method for the determination of thiamine in urine. Methods: The influencing factors of pretreatment for the determination of thiamine in urine such as direct measurement, acidolysis, enzymolysis were discussed. The investigation of thiamine nutritional level of several voluteers was proceeded by urine load experiment. Results: After acidolysis and enzymolysis, urine was oxidized by alkaline potassium ferricyanide and determined by fluorescent method. The recovery range was 73.5%~96.2%.Conclusion: The method can simultaneously determine the free and bound thiamine. It is accurate. It is reliable and suitable for the determination of thiamine in urine.
