Abstract

With nonradioactive digoxigenin-labeled serotype I-specific MDV DNA fragment as probe, the hybridization could effectively detect serotype Ⅰ MDV DNA fixed on nitrocellulose filters by Southern blot or dot blot. Its specificity and sensitivity was as good as that with ~(32)P-labeled probe.
