Abstract
Objective To observe and analysis the efficacy with different molecular weight hyaluronic acid(hyalgan and synvisc)in the treatment of rabbit knee osteoarthritis. Methods To establish eighting rabbit knee osteoarthritis model by the method of ACLT. Two weeks after operation,all animails were randomly divided into three groups(6 rabbits per group). (A)treated with hyalgan injecting in the joint cavity,once each week, continuously 4 weeks.(B) treated with synvisc as B group. (C) treated with NS .Ten weeks after operation,all animails were killed. Took the articular cartilage in right thigh bone condyle to observe with eyes and light microscope. Then scored according to the method of Mankin. Results The knee articular cartilage damage in rabbit which treated with hyalgan or synvisc is smaller than non-treated(P0.05). Damage in rabbit which treated with synvisc is smaller than which treated with hyalgan(P0.05). Conclusion The near future efficacy of bigger molecular weight hyaluronic acid synvisc in the treatment of rabbit knee osteoarthritis supass the hyalgan.
