Abstract
The hot metal dephosphorization pretreatment was carried out with simulated converter slag constituents CaO-SiO 2-Fe 2O 3-MnO 2-MgO-P 2O 5-Al 2O 3-CaF 2 series under laboratory conditions. Results show that hot metal rephosphorization occurs with the advance of processing time. The mass transfer coefficient of phosphor in slag was measured under the hot metal rephosphorization conditions and causes to the rephosphorization and counter measures to cope with it discussed and thereupon proper hot metal dephosphorization pretreatment time and the optimized compositions of the converter slag for dephosphorization purpose determined.
