Abstract
The Xing poems in Han-yuefu has close relations with seven-word poems,which have become mature because they have assorted and developed the spirit and characteristic of Han-yuefu fully.Therefore,the Xing poems in Han-yuefu,a paradigm,have laid a foundation for the shaping of seven-word poems and have influenced the free verses in three ways.First,it changed from narrative function to lyric function;second,it continued to employ some sentence patterns;third,it has shown life consciousness totally.
