Clinical analysis of 11 cases of primary central nervous system germ cell tumors

Objective To analyze clinical manifestations,examination and treatment of primary central nervous system germ cell tumors.Methods From 1997 to 2007,16 patients with primary central nervous system germ cell tumor received treatment including surgery,radiotherapy and chemotherapy.Results 7 cases were treated simply with radiotherapy after surgery,which effective rate is 71.43%.9 cases were treated with radiotherapy and chemotherapy after surgery,which effective rate is 88.89%.Conclusion Comprehensive treatment of surgery combined with chemotherapy and radiotherapy can improve the result of central nervous system germ cell tumors.
