Abstract
Based on beam grillage theory,a finite element model of complex linear special-shaped box girder structure is built and the distribution of internal stress of the whole bridge is obtained. The box girder bridge structure and allocation of prestess bars are improved on the basis of the results of beam grillage theory, and a single beam model is built to compare with the grillage model. The results of strain are compared too.The results of calculation indicate that the grillage model can offer more exact calculation results for the single beam model, reflect the mechanic behavior of special-shaped bridge and can be used to guide the design of the special-shaped box girder bridge.
