Abstract
A space-time block code(STBC) and multiple trellis-coded modulation(MTCM) both have excellent performance.However,in the conventional STBC-MTCM,the inner space-time block codes are unable to work with the outer MTCM perfectly,so the outer MTCM must adapt to suit the inner STBC.An improved algorithm is proposed based on unitary transformations for the conventional STBC-MTCM.The STBC can work with the outer MTCM perfectly and a high data rate is achieved.Provided is the process of unitary transformations and the expansion of the signal sets based on it.Simulation results are compared with TSC,YB and IMYL codes.
