Whether Services Sectors’ Agglomeration Can Promote Urbanization Process:Analysis Based on China’s Provincial Panel Data

Based on china’s inter-provincial panel data from 2000 to 2010,using panel unit root test and fixed effects model analysis,this paper studies the role of services sectors’ agglomeration in China’s urbanization process.The results show that: From a national perspective,services sectors’ agglomeration can promote China’s urbanization process;from a regional perspective, the role of services sectors’ agglomeration in China’s urbanization process is different between regions.The main influence factors of urbanization in eastern、central and western regions are different,services sectors’ agglomeration has the biggest impact on the urbanization of eastern region,the level of economic development is the main influence factor for the urbanization of central region,well services sectors’ agglomeration and industrial level in the western region urbanization process are equally important.Finally,based on the research conclusions,this paper proposes policy recommendations.
