Abstract

Objective To explore the effects of electromyography biofeedback(EMGBF) in rehabilitation treatment of hemiplegic patients with cerebral infarction. Methods Stroke patients were divided into acute phase group and recovery phase group according to the course of disease.Acute phase group received the EMG biofeedback therapy after 48h of smooth condition.Recovery phase group received the EMG biofeedback therapy after hospitalized.NIHSS score,Furl-Meyer score and Barthel index were observed before and after treatment. Results There was no significant difference between two groups before treatment(P0.05).After treatment, acute phase groups showed significantly increasing of all scores(P0.001).There was a significant difference between two groups(P 0.05).Concusion The electromyography biofeedback therapy is effective in rehabilitation treatment of Hemiplegic patients with cerebral infarction.Early electromyography biofeedback therapy in acute phase of stroke can improve ability of daily living,Reduce morbidity and improve living quality.
