Abstract
Objective To observe contraction desynchronization of the beventricle and left ventricular geometric shape in patients with chronic congestive heart failure in sinus rhythm. Methods Twentytwo patients(mean age,59.111±16.01,72% male)in sinus rhythm with chronic congestive heart failure who fulfill the Framingham heart failure diagnostic criteria(NYHA class Ⅱ~Ⅲ) and sixteen control subjects were study two dimensional echocardiography and gated equilibrium blood pool scintigraphy.Related parameter were obtained. Results The patients with chronic heart failure have significantly abnormal heart geometric shape, left ventricular systolic function, and parameter of phase image analysis.Seventy-seven percent patients with heart failure had interventricular contractile dyssynchrony who had lower left ventricular ejection fraction and more serious mitral regurgitation degree compared with patients without interventricular contractile dyssynchrony.A significant negative correlation was found between phase angles and LVEF,and positive correlation was found between phase angles and mitral regurgitation, and positive correlation was found between phase angles and Cole's Index.Area-length Index of left ventricular at end-diastolic.Conclusion This study show that interventricular contra ctile desynchronizition results from the changes of left ventricular geometric shape at end-diastolic and the form of mitral regurgitation, interventricular contractile desynchronization may be one of causes decreased left ventricular function.
