Clinical observation of treating patients with chronic gastritis by combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine

Objective: To abserve the curative effect of treating patients with chronic gastritis by combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine. Methods: 72 patients with chronic gastritis in the township health center were individed in treatment group and control group(36 cases in each group) according to different therapeutic method. Control group was given routine medication of colloidal bismuth pectin, vitacoenzyme tablets and amoxicillin capsules and treatment group was given traditional Chinese medicine on the basis of routine medication in which treatment outcome was observed in two groups. Results: Total effective rate of treatment group was 96.8% and control group was 81.2% in which there was significant difference(χ2 =7.98,P 0.05). Conclusion: Compared with control group, treating patients with chronic gastritis by combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine is effective and low recurrence rate.
