Abstract
The die casting process of an auto part was simulated by the numerical simulation. The result shows that the casting defects are related to gas entrapment, gas release obstruction and disorderly flow. The simulation results ware in accordance with practical production.Accordingly,Optimized die casting process based on the simulation result was adopted.Several adjustments such as injection speed switch overflow chute and air exhaust vents were applied. As a result, the quality of the auto part was improved greatly.
