Abstract

Objective: To study the relationship of atlas posterior arch vertebral artery groove ring with cervical vertigo. Methods Collected 800 cases of cervical spine radiography in our hospital from August 2008 to September 2009,from which 63 cases were found the atlas posterior arch vertebral artery groove ring, these cases were retrospective analysis. Results In these cases, atlas posterior arch vertebral artery groove ring combined cervical spine degeneration in 21 cases(33.3%).TypeⅠ 36 cases, accounting for 57.1%;type Ⅱ 14 cases, accounting for 22.2%,of which 5 cases Ⅱa,Ⅱb 9 cases;type Ⅲ 13 cases, accounting for 20.6%.Conclusion Atlas posterior arch vertebral artery groove ring, which could cause vertebral artery spasm or stenosis and then result in vertebrobasilar insufficiency, which causing intermittent vertigo have a certain relationship.
