Evolution of Logistics Industry and Regional Industrial Structure:A Quantile Regression Model Based on Province-level Panel Data of China

In this paper,we tested empirically the effect of the logistics industry on industrial structure for the three quantiles of 0.25,0.5 and 0.75 and found that though from a holistic perspective,the logistics industry promoted the optimization and upgrading of the industrial structure of China,it realized this in different ways for different regions:this promotional effect was the strongest for regions with relatively high industrial structures and secondly so for regions with relatively low industrial structure,yet for those with appropriate industrial structures,the development of the structure of the logistics industry could pose a hindrance.
