Abstract

To search for the correlation between soil biochemical characteristics and the soil fertility inmixed stands of Hippophae rhamnoides for land revegetation of coal mining site, soil microorganismand soil nutrients were analyzed with soil samples taken from one site of pure stand, three sites of different mixed stands of Hippophae rhamnoides with other plants, and a control site of newly disposal soil without plants in the Heidaigou Open-pit Coal Mining.Theresults are as follows: microorganismsamong the sites l aresignificantly different in quantity. The gradation is: Hippophae rhamnoides+Leymus chinensisHippophae rhamnoidesPopulus simonii+Salix matsudana+Hippophae rhamnoides Populus simonii+Hippophae rhamnoides. The correlation among soil microorganism quantity and soil nutrient contentsis significant;therefore,it can be used as index forsoil fertility evaluation.
