Integrated water resources management in river basin and its theoretical framework

Abstract
The development of integrated water resources management(IWRM) was reviewed.Based on the ideas of authorities and scholars at home and abroad about IWRM,the definition of IWRM in river basin was discussed,and the differences between the traditional water resources management and IWRM were analyzed.The theoretical framework of IWRM in river basin was put forward.Finally,based on the theoretical framework,the IWRM practice and experience of two typical river basins abroad were analyzed and reviewed.
