Abstract
Image enhancement which is also called image pre-processing plays an indispensable role in signal image processing.Through the use of frequency-domain method for understanding of image enhancement-thoery,low-pass filtering and high-pass filtering are analysed.On this basis,ideal low pass filter,ideal high pass filter,exponential low pass filter,exponential high pass filter,Butterworth low pass filter,Butterworth high pass filter,trapezoidal how pass filter,which are processed programming and simulation in MATLAB.Results are analysed and compared,indicating better to improve the image to adopt low-pass filtering and high-pass filtering.
